ASU Business Students Receive Wells Fargo Scholarships
Three students in the Angelo State University College of Business and Professional Studies have been awarded scholarships by Wells Fargo Bank of San Angelo.
The scholarship recipients are junior marketing major Kyla Kay Thomas of Hale Center, junior management major Brian A. Pape of San Angelo and junior accounting major Paul Minzenmayer of Rowena.
Thomas, the daughter of Dwight and Lynette Thomas of Hale Center, received a $1,500 scholarship. Thomas was recognized for her outstanding academic performance and admirable community service. She is working on her bachelor of business administration in marketing at Angelo State.
Pape received a $500 Wells Fargo Scholarship in Business. He is the son of Ed and Mary Ann Pape of San Angelo. He was honored for his academic, communication and leadership skills. He is working on a bachelor of business administration in management.
Minzenmayer also received a $500 Wells Fargo Scholarship in Business. The son of Dennis and Janet Minzenmayer of Rowena, he was honored for his exemplary academic record and his skill in multi-tasking. He is working on a bachelor of business administration and a master of business administration.
The scholarships were presented at an ASU luncheon at the conclusion of the Wells Fargo Distinguished Lectureship, which featured Patricia Diaz Dennis, the senior vice president for regulatory and public affairs at SBC Communications Inc. in San Antonio.
The scholarships were announced by Pamela S. Brown, director of the Small Business Center at ASU, and were presented by ASU Business Dean Robert K. Hegglund and James Cummings, president, Wells Fargo Bank, San Angelo.
Wells Fargo sponsors the lectureship and the scholarships annually.
