Top ASU Graduate Students Honored at Banquet
Angelo State University honored its outstanding graduate students Friday (March 2) during the annual Graduate School Awards Banquet in the Davidson Conference Center on the ASU campus.
The top graduate students were announced by Graduate Dean Carol Diminnie for each college at ASU. The distinguished graduate student for the College of Business and Professional Studies was business administration major Mark B. Pahls of San Angelo. The distinguished graduate student for the College of Liberal and Fine Arts was English major Birgit Schmidt-Rosemann of Undeloh, Germany. The distinguished graduate student for the College of Sciences was nursing major Patricia McGrath of San Angelo.
Each distinguished graduate student received a recognition plaque. Each recipient's name will be engraved on plaques currently displayed in the Office of the Graduate Dean.
Other nominees for the distinguished graduate student awards were also recognized at the banquet. They were: Mary Kathryn Fogle of accounting; Joel Brant of Biology and Magda Rivero of psychology.
Thirty-six graduate students who have completed 50 percent or more in their master's degree program with a perfect 4.00 grade point average were also recognized.
