ASU Employees Receive Quarterly Awards for Top Job Performance
Four Angelo State University employees have been recognized with Quarterly Staff Excellence Awards from the university.
The recipients are Elaine Beach, customer support manager, Information Technology; Sande Harrison, director of alumni relations; Jeanne Irby, technical services manager, Information Technology; and Greg Pecina, director, University Center.
The awards are presented by the university in recognition of outstanding performance by non-teaching staff members in support of the university and its educational mission. The recipients were recognized by ASU President James Hindman. Each honoree received a framed certificate and a $300 honorarium.
"An institution as large and as diverse as a university requires a lot of different talents to be successful," Hindman said, "and we at Angelo State University are fortunate to have so many talented and dedicated individuals who help us fulfill our institutional mission. I want to thank these individuals for their exceptional work and for their commitment to ASU."
The quarterly staff awards were initiated in 1995 to recognize deserving staff members who excelled in the performance of their varied jobs. The quarterly staff awards will be replaced in 2002 with an annual awards ceremony.
