ASU's College Days Set Feb. 23 for Prospective Students

Angelo State University will host "College Days" Saturday, Feb. 23, to allow prospective college students to sample the campus experience ranging from academics to activities and from residence hall life to school spirit at ASU.

In addition to sampling the various academic and extracurricular programs available at the university, students and their families will also be treated to a free lunch. Additionally, participants will be offered complimentary tickets to ASU's 1 p.m. softball doubleheader against Incarnate Word at the ASU Softball Field and to the Rambelle and Rams basketball games at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively that evening in the Junell Center/Stephens Arena. A 2 p.m. show is also scheduled at the ASU Planetarium in the Vincent Nursing-Physical Science Building.

College Days activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. with check-in at the Houston Harte University Center Tower Lobby. The program will begin at 10 a.m. in the C.J. "Red" Davidson Conference Center with a welcome by ASU President James Hindman. Tours of campus will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., including a stop at the Food Service Center for the complimentary lunch.

After lunch students and their families will return to the Davidson Conference Center for the ASU Expo/Departmental Fair, where information will be available on academic programs, student organizations, extracurricular activities, financial aid, Carr Academic Scholarships, residence halls and other areas of interest to prospective students and their parents.

Special information sessions also will be presented at 1:30 p.m. for students interested in ASU pre-professional programs, including nursing, physical therapy, pre-law and pre-health professions.

Throughout the event ASU faculty, staff and students will be available to welcome guests to campus and to answer their questions about all aspects of student life at ASU.

College Days coordinator Theresa Garza said, "College Days provides prospective students the opportunity to visit with ASU students and faculty and to become acquainted with all the opportunities the university offers from classes to campus life."
