In addition to sampling the various academic and extracurricular programs available at the university, students and their families will also be treated to a free lunch and will be offered complimentary tickets to ASU's 2 p.m. football game against Texas A&M-Kingsville in San Angelo Stadium.
Activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. with check-in at the C.J. "Red"y Davidson Conference Center in the Houston Harte University Center at 1910 Rosemont. The program will begin at 10 a.m. in the Davidson Center with a welcome by ASU President James Hindman. Tours of campus will then be conducted, including a stop at the Food Service Center for the complimentary lunch.
After lunch students and their families will return to the Davidson Conference Center for the ASU Expo, where information will be available on academic programs, student organizations, extracurricular activities, financial aid, Carr Academic Scholarships, residence halls and other areas of interest to prospective students and their parents.
Special information sessions also will be presented for students interested in ASU pre-professional programs, including nursing, physical therapy, pre-law and pre-health professions.
Throughout the event ASU faculty, staff and students will be available to welcome guests to campus and to answer their questions about all aspects of student life at ASU.
College Days Coordinator Bonnnie Stennett said the event is the major fall opportunity for prospective students to get acquainted with ASU, its faculty and the educational experience it offers. College Days programs are also scheduled Feb. 15 and April 5 during the spring semester.
