Piano Recital Set April 22 for ASU's Curtin
Dr. David Curtin, an assistant professor of music at Angelo State University, will present a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Recital Hall of the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building on the ASU campus.
He will perform three preludes by Rachmaninoff, "Sonata in A minor, K. 310" by Mozart and "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Mussorgsky.
Piano competitions Curtin has won include first prize in the Erie, Pa., Music Teachers Association's annual competition and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory's Concerto Competition. He has performed throughout the United States as well as in Asia, Europe and Mexico.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., Curtin earned a doctor of musical arts from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, a master of music degree from the University of Louisville School of Music and a bachelor of music and a bachelor of arts in English from the State University of New York College at Fredonia.
