Discover ASU Schedule Set for Spring

The schedule of "Discover ASU" programs, designed to acquaint prospective students throughout Central and West Texas with Angelo State University, has been announced for the 2004 spring semester by the ASU Admissions Office.

Faculty and administrators, including ASU President E. James Hindman and academic deans, will participate in nine Discover ASU sessions in January through March. The Discover ASU sessions will start with a 6:30 p.m. registration before the program begins at 7 p.m. Sites, dates and locations of the Discover ASU programs are as follows:

Dallas/Fort Worth: Jan. 26, AmeriSuites, DFW Airport North, 2220 Grapevine Mills Circle W
Abilene: Jan. 27, Courtyard Marriott, 4350 Ridgemont Drive
San Antonio: Feb. 2, San Antonio Marriott North, 3323 NW Loop 410
Fredericksburg: Feb. 3, Fredericksburg Inn and Suites, 201 S. Washington St.
Temple: Feb. 16, Mayborn Convention Center, 2 N. Main St.
Austin: Feb. 17, Red Lion Inn, 6121 N. IH 35
Lubbock: March 8, Barcelona Court, 5215 S. Loop 289
Odessa: March 9, MCM Elegante, 5200 E. University
Brownwood: March 23, Days Inn, 515 E. Commerce

Discover ASU is open to high school students, transfer students, prospective graduate students and parents. ASU representatives will be available to answer student questions and provide information on undergraduate and graduate admission requirements as well as the academic programs open to prospective students.

Additionally, participants can learn about student organizations and residence life at ASU as well as financial aid and the Carr Academic Scholarship Program, one of the largest scholarship endowments of its type in Texas.

A member of the Texas State University System, Angelo State University is the academic home to more than 6,000 students, studying in the College of Business and Professional Studies, College of Liberal and Fine Arts, College of Sciences, School of Education and Graduate School.
