Outstanding graduate students will be recognized at the annual Angelo State University Graduate School Awards Banquet, Friday, March 28, in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center in ASU's Houston Harte University Center.

The banquet is open to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Davidson Conference Center. Tickets are $12 per person and should be purchased by noon Wednesday, March 26.

At the banquet one master's degree student from each of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the College of Sciences and the College of Business and Professional Studies will be recognized for distinguished accomplishments in his or her area of study.

Students who have maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average after completing at least half of their graduate study and students who have written or presented papers or won awards will also be honored.

Graduate Dean Carol B. Diminnie said the banquet provides an opportunity for the faculty and the Graduate School to recognize the outstanding contributions that graduate students make not only to ASU but also to the universal body of knowledge.

Checks for tickets should be made payable to Sigma Tau Delta and mailed to the Graduate School Office, Box 11025, ASU Station, San Angelo, TX 76909, or delivered to the Graduate Dean's Office in Room 100 of the Hardeman Building. For further information, call 942-2169.
