Research Showcase Nov. 25 to Display ASU Student Projects
Thirty-five Angelo State University junior, senior and graduate students representing 10 academic departments will participate in the Graduate School's Student Research Showcase Tuesday, Nov. 25, to highlight their research in a forum open to the public on the ASU campus.
The showcase, scheduled noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center in the Houston Harte University Center, recognizes student contributions to the universal body of knowledge through their research and creative activities. Two art works and 33 posters on various research projects will be displayed by students at the showcase.
Participating students represent animal science, art, biology, chemistry and biochemistry, education, mathematics, nursing, physical therapy, physics and psychology.
ASU Graduate Dean Carol Diminnie said the Student Research Showcase will provide student interaction with community members who are interested in research activities on campus.
Sixteen undergraduates and 19 graduate students will participate in the showcase. Twenty-one faculty members have served as their research mentors.Refreshments will be served at the showcase. For more information, contact the Graduate School at 942-2169.
