Banquet to Honor Top ASU Graduate Students
Outstanding graduate students will be recognized at the annual Graduate School Awards Banquet Friday, April 16, in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center in Angelo State University's Houston Harte University Center.
The banquet is open to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Davidson Conference Center. Tickets are $12 per person and should be purchased by noon Monday, April 12, from the ASU Graduate School.
At the banquet, one master's degree student from each of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the College of Sciences and the College of Business and Professional Studies will be recognized for distinguished accomplishments in his or her area of study.
Students who have maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average after completing at least half of their graduate study and students who have written or presented papers or won awards will also be honored.
Graduate Dean Carol B. Diminnie said the banquet provides an opportunity for the faculty and the Graduate School to recognize the outstanding contributions that graduate students make not only to ASU but also to the universal body of knowledge.
Individuals interested in attending should make checks payable to Sigma Tau Delta. Checks should be mailed to the Graduate School Office, ASU Station #11025, San Angelo, TX 76909-1025 or delivered to the Graduate School Office in Room 100 of the Hardeman Building.
