ASU Spring Enrollment Totals Released

Spring enrollment figures for Angelo State University show 5,506 students attending classes this semester as compared to 5,674 students taking courses last spring.

Due to a drop in fall 2003 enrollment, the spring decline was anticipated but the percentage decrease for the spring semester was not as large as the fall percentage. The spring enrollment dropped 3 percent compared to a 3.6 percent drop in the fall.

Semester credit hours taken by students this spring totaled 67,878, a 2.9 percent drop from the 69,904 taken in the spring a year ago.

Among the colleges and schools at ASU, only the College of Sciences had an increased enrollment this spring over last with a 1.8 percent gain.

Totals by school this spring compared to last are as follows: College of Business and Professional Studies, 1,560, 1,639; Graduate School, 413, 463; College of Liberal and Fine Arts, 1,322, 1,352; College of Sciences, 1,639, 1,610; and School of Education, 572, 610.
