Donations Being Accepted for ASU Friends Book Sale
Donations
of books will be accepted now through Dec. 17 and Jan. 10-26 at
Angelo State University's West Texas Collection for the annual Friends
of
the Porter Henderson Library and West Texas Collection Book Sale scheduled
Jan. 28-29.
Persons interested in donating
materials for the sale should contact the
West Texas Collection (WTC) at 942-2164 to schedule a time when they
can
deliver the books to campus. Assistance in unloading the books at the
WTC
will be provided when donors schedule an appointment in advance. If
necessary, arrangements can be made for a Friends volunteer to pick
up
large donations or to retrieve books from elderly donors.
The WTC is open 10 a.m. to
5 p.m. weekdays and until 8 p.m. on
Thursdays. The WTC is located on the second floor of the Houston Harte
University Center, 1910 Rosemont, on the ASU campus.
The annual book sale is scheduled
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, in
the Fellowship Hall of College Hills Baptist Church, 2102 Johnson
Ave. Admission is free.
A preview night is scheduled
5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, for those wishing to
purchase books in advance. Admission is $5 to preview and purchase books
early.
The Friends of the Porter
Henderson Library and West Texas Collection is a
support organization dedicated to enhancing the library and archival
resources available to the ASU community.
