Texas State University System Regents to Meet in San Marcos Nov. 18-19
Regents of the Texas State University System (TSUS) will convene in San Marcos Thursday and Friday, Nov. 18-19, to conduct business for the system's nine schools, including Angelo State University.
The board of regents will convene at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and at 9:15 a.m. Friday, in Room 3-9.1 of the LBJ Student Center.
Board members will review ASU's 12th class day reports, the university's academic planning authority and table of programs as well as the institution's tuition and fees schedule for the 2005 fall semester.
Regents will also consider authorizing renovations to the Academic Building, selecting a consultant for a project to light the Intramural Fields, amending the lease agreement with the San Angelo Colts Baseball Team, naming the Ram Radio production facilities, and procuring specialized software for upgrading facilities maintenance and information technology systems.
Other business will include routine personnel matters and budget adjustments.
The TSUS board serves as the governing body for ASU and the other eight institutions making up the system.The other institutions are Lamar University, Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College-Orange, Lamar State College-Port Arthur, Sam Houston State University, Sul Ross State University, Sul Ross State University-Rio Grande College and Texas State University-San Marcos.
