Programs for Individuals Interested in Graduate School Set Sept. 16 & 25 at ASU
Sessions of "Grad School and You," an informational program aimed at individuals who are considering graduate school, will be offered Thursday, Sept. 16, and Saturday, Sept. 25, on the campus of Angelo State University.
ASU Graduate Dean Carol Diminnie will present the informational sessions for anyone interested in attending graduate school. Grad School and You will benefit both current college students and individuals who may have received their undergraduate degrees years earlier, but are now considering a graduate degree either to advance their current careers or to move into new careers.
The Thursday session will begin at noon in the University Center Theater on the first floor of the Houston Harte University Center. The Sept. 25 program will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Nasworthy Suite on the second floor of the Houston Harte University Center, at 1910 Rosemont on the ASU campus.
Topics to be covered during each session will include reasons to attend graduate school, where to go for information, how to prepare for graduate school and what ASU's Graduate School has to offer. Diminnie, graduate advisers and financial aid representatives will be available to answer individual questions.
Diminnie said the rapid pace of change in today's highly technical world makes ongoing education critical to the long-term success of a career. She said a graduate degree is becoming more and more important for career success and advancement. ASU offers 21 graduate programs to choose from.
