Texas State University System Regents to Meet in Huntsville Feb. 17-18
Regents of the Texas State University System (TSUS) will convene in Huntsville Thursday and Friday, Feb. 17-18, to conduct business for the system's nine schools, including Angelo State University.
The board of regents will convene at 1 p.m. Thursday and at 9 a.m. Friday in the Courtroom of the Criminal Justice Center.
Board members will review ASU's 12th class day reports for the spring semester, consider routine curriculum changes, discuss three degree programs and deliberate on an international exchange program with another university.
Regents will also receive construction reports on four buildings and on an electrical easement. The board will review proposed budget adjustments for the university as well as consider course fees for six courses.
Other business will include routine personnel matters and acknowledgement of gifts to the university.
The TSUS board serves as the governing body for ASU and the other eight institutions making up the system. The other institutions are Lamar University, Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College-Orange, Lamar State College-Port Arthur, Sam Houston State University, Sul Ross State University, Sul Ross State University-Rio Grande College and Texas State University-San Marcos.
