Friends of ASU Library Book Sale Offers Bargains Jan. 28-29

Books by the hundreds as well as collector's items such as posters from the annual Terlingua Chili Cookoff will be available for purchase at the annual Friends of the Porter Henderson Library and West Texas Collection Book Sale Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28-29, in the Fellowship Hall of College Hills Baptist Church, 2102 Johnson Ave.

Individuals desiring to beat the crowd and buy books early can pay $5 for admission to preview night from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28. Then on Saturday, Jan. 29, the book sale will open free to the public between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

A variety of fiction and nonfiction will be available. Additionally, various educational materials, including children's books, will be on sale. Typical costs will be 50 cents for paperbacks and a dollar for hardback books. However, Texana materials, traditionally among the most popular items in the sale, will be individually priced.

The Friends of the Porter Henderson Library and West Texas Collection is a support organization dedicated to enhancing the library and archival resources available to the ASU community. All proceeds from the sale will go to benefit the collections and programs of the Porter Henderson Library and West Texas Collection.
