ASU Faculty, Staff Earn Awards for Decades of Service

Thirty-seven Angelo State University faculty and staff, including nine with a quarter century or more employment with the university, were honored with Service Awards during ceremonies Monday, Jan. 24, in the Houston Harte

University Center on the ASU campus.

ASU President James Hindman thanked the honorees for their loyalty and dedication to ASU and presented all with awards representing their years of service to the university.

Charles A. Endress of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, David H. Loyd of the College of Sciences and C. Varren Parker of the Physics Department received 35-Year Service Awards.

Awards for 30 years of service went to Thomas A. Bankston of Accounting, Economics and Finance and Michael A. Martin of Kinesiology.

Recipients of 25-Year Service Awards were Terence A. Dalrymple, English; Charles B. McCamant, Computer Science; Edward C. Olson, Government; and Colegate V. Spinks, Information Technology.

The 20-Year Service Awards went to Nancy G. Allen, English; Donald L. Boyd, Facilities Management; Johnny Fira, Facilities Management; Rick E. Greig, Student Life; Cheryl A. McGaughey, Accounting, Economics, and Finance; P. Nolen Mears, Student Life; and the late Virginia T. McMillan, Residence Life.

Recipients of 15-Year Service Awards were Esteban C. Apodaca, Art and Music; Robert Armendariz, Facilities Management; Sudhir K. Chawla, Management and Marketing; Martha P. CoxStudent Accounts/Bursar; Elisa G. Hernandez, Enrollment Management; Alfred Morales, Facilities Management; Ellen D. Moreland, Mathematics; Peggy Niño, Art and Music; Jeffrey Sefcik, Information Technology; and Andrew B. Wallace, Physics.

The 10-Year Service Awards were presented to Tommy L. Adams, Facilities Management; Harry W. Bowers, Internal Audit; Marnita J. Guinn, Nursing; M.L. Stark Hinkle, News and Information Service; Paul Kalina, Facilities Management; Pamela S. Lee, Art and Music; Brian J. May, Agriculture;James A. Moore, English; Joe Muñoz, President's Office, Scott A. Prindes, Property Management; and John C. "Trey" Smith III, Mathematics
