Banquet to Honor Top Graduate Students at ASU
Outstanding graduate students will be recognized at the annual Graduate School Awards Banquet, Friday, April 1, in the Angelo State University LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center.
The banquet is open to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m. on April 1. The LeGrand Center is at 1620 University Ave.
One graduate student from each of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the College of Sciences, the College of Business and Professional Studies, and the School of Education will be recognized for distinguished accomplishments in his or her area of study.
Students who have maintained a perfect 4.0 grade-point average after completing at least half of their graduate study and students who have written or presented papers or won awards will also be honored.
Graduate Dean Carol B. Diminnie said the banquet provides an opportunity for the faculty and the Graduate School to recognize the contributions that graduate students make not only to ASU but also to the universal body of knowledge.
Tickets are $12 per person and should be purchased by noon Tuesday, March 29. Checks should be made payable to Sigma Tau Delta and mailed to the Graduate School Office, ASU Station #11025, San Angelo, TX 76909-1025 or delivered to the Graduate Dean's Office in Room 100 of the Hardeman Building.
