Wind Ensemble to Highlight Fantasies, Fiestas

The Angelo State University Wind Ensemble will present their fall concert "Fiestas and Fantasies" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the ASU Auditorium. The concert will be free and open to the public.

Adam Frey, an internationally known euphonium soloist, will make a guest appearance. He will be featured on Boccalari's Fantasia di Concerto and Un Bel Di from Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly.

Also on the program are works by Bach, Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff, Philip Sparke, Sir Arthur Sullivan and Johan de Meij.

The Wind Ensemble, the premiere ensemble in the ASU Band program, consists of 38 of the finest instrumentalists on campus. Students from several majors are represented, including elementary education, accounting, biology, animal science, computer science and music.
