Research Showcase Nov. 23 to Display ASU Student Projects
Forty-six Angelo State University undergraduate and graduate students will participate in the fourth annual Student Research Showcase, sponsored Wednesday, Nov. 23, by the College of Graduate Studies to highlight ASU research for the campus and the local community.
The showcase, scheduled noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center in the Houston Harte University Center, will feature table and poster displays on 34 different research projects. The student researchers will be available to discuss their work with fellow students, faculty and the public.
The 16 undergraduates and 30 graduate students participating in the showcase represent 23 different faculty sponsors and nine departments: agriculture, biology, chemistry and biochemistry, mathematics, nursing, physical therapy, physics, psychology and teacher education.
ASU Graduate Dean Carol Diminnie said the Student Research Showcase recognizes student contributions to the universal body of knowledge through their research and creative activities. The annual program also provides student interaction with community members who are interested in research activities on campus.
Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact the College of Graduate Studies at 942-2169.
