Association's Top Faculty Award Goes to ASU Physical Therapist
Dr. Ronald F. Bybee, a professional specialist in Angelo State University's Physical Therapy Department, has received the 2005 William Gould Memorial Outstanding Physical Therapy Faculty Award from the Texas State Physical Therapy Association (TPTA).
The award is the top faculty honor presented each year by the TPTA. The award was announced last month during the TPTA's annual conference in The Woodlands.
Bybee joined the ASU physical therapy faculty in January. Prior to that he taught for a decade in the physical therapy program at the University of Texas at El Paso. He served three years on the adjunct faculty at University of Colorado, teaching a course in industrial medicine. He also has taught continuing education courses for the McKenzie Institute International.
He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in physical therapy from the University of Southern California and a doctor of physical therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Bybee is a diplomate of both the American board of Physical Therapy and the McKenzie Institute International. He is the author or co-author of a dozen articles in professional journals.
