Fun and Fright Will Come Together for a Magical Night
The Angelo State University Choir's fifth annual Halloween Spooktacular promises a wickedly good time as singers once again will use their musical wizardry to leave audiences spellbound.
The show will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in the City Auditorium, 72 W. College Ave. It is open free to the public.
In its fifth year ¯ its second in the City Auditorium ¯ the Spooktacular has already outgrown two venues, and this year's 75-minute show features a "Wizard of Oz" theme.
The musical highlights include medleys from the new Broadway hit show "Wicked," the 1970s movie musical "The Wiz" and the timeless MGM favorite "The Wizard of Oz." Also slated are "Do You Believe in Magic?" the theme song from "Bewitched," Disney's "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" and "The Time Warp" from Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The ASU Choir will be joined by an entourage of special guests, including the Lake View High School Show Choir, Lee Middle School Rebel Rage, and San Angelo Singing Boys & Girls.
To share in this fun-filled evening of laughter and family entertainment, audience members are encouraged to wear costumes. Candy treats will be distributed to young trick-or-treaters.
Organizers are encouraging concert-goers to arrive early because of the show's past popularity.
