Great Entertainment Opportunity Benefiting a Great Cause
Our friends at Grigsby’s Boutique will be sponsoring “A little black dress event” on May 3-5 which will feature a production of the hit off-Broadway show Love, Loss and What I Wore by Delia and Nora Ephron. It is a play of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memory covering all the important subjects-mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying undergarments, wedding dresses, mothers, hating purses and why we only wear black. It is funny, dear and sweet. What is interesting is that in New York the 5 women cast rotated and some very famous actresses performed the show including Kristin Chenoweth, Tyne Daly, Fran Drescher, Brooke Shields, Jane Lynch, and Rosie O’Donnell. Our cast will feature local actresses who have performed at ACT, ASU and local dinner theatres and includes Laura Smith, Kat Hutton, Leslie Mayrand, Nancy McCollum, and Pagan Jackson. The event will be held at Bentwood and all proceeds benefit the Angelo State University Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health breast cancer treatment initiative. Please come and enjoy a wonderful evening for a great cause.
