Tax Notification and payment information

Angelo State University provides a Tax Notification for the tax year whether the student meets the IRS requirements to receive the IRS Form 1098-T. Every student should access the Tax Notification and read the personal message at the top to determine if the student will receive the IRS Form 1098-T for the tax year.

  • Go to RamPort
  • Enter User Name and Password
    Former students may still access RamPort, but passwords older than 90 days will expire. To reset your password, click the RamPort link Change your password here. If you have forgotten your last password, call the Technology Service Center (1-866-942-2911) to request a password change. 
  • Click on the Login button
  • Click on the Student Services tab
  • Click on RAMS Logon link in the Student Services box
  • Click on Student Records link
  • Click on Tax Notification link
  • Enter the Tax Year
  • Click on the Submit button

If you do not meet the IRS requirements and will not receive the IRS Form 1098-T for the tax year, you will see this message in your Tax Notification: 

You do not meet the IRS requirements to receive the IRS Form 1098-T for the tax year. Box 5 Scholarships or Grants equal or exceed Box 2 Amounts Billed for Qualified Tuition and Related Expenses. No form will be sent to you or to the IRS for the tax year. This Tax Notification is provided for your records. Additional information is available at www.angelo.edu/services/controller/1098T.php.

If you meet the IRS requirements and will receive the IRS Form 1098-T for the tax year, you will see this message in your Tax Notification:

You meet the IRS requirements to receive the IRS Form 1098-T for the tax year. The form will be mailed to this address by January 31 and be available online at www.angelo.edu/services/controller/1098Tonline.php.This Tax Notification is provided for your records. Any payment amount displayed in the Supplemental Information is not provided to the IRS.
