Student Involvement
The mission of the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) is to engage the students of Angelo State University in opportunities to grow developmentally through interaction with their fellow students.
In addition to Student Programs & Activities, Multicultural Activities and Greek Life activities, the CSI is also responsible for:
Leadership Programs
Want to develop your leadership skills? Each year we sponsor T.E.A.M. 101 (Together Everyone Achieves More), featuring nationally recognized training experts. The Leadership Certificate Program is currently underway, and the LCP is offered each long semester with the schedule being released shortly after classes begin. Also, special training sessions can be created based on student interests and organizational needs by making an appointment with the CSI staff.
Ram Central Station
Now the Center for Student Involvement, this serves as the hub of activity for student organizations, providing space for groups to maintain their organization's belongings and work on projects, as well as take advantage of services provided by the Center.
Student Organizations
Looking for something to do, a group to hang out with? The 85-plus student organizations at ASU represent a variety of interests and purposes, and are organized as boards and councils, honor organizations, service organizations, and special interest groups. Don't see a group that interests you? Get a group of like-minded students together and let us help you start your own organization!
RamPort
The Center for Student Involvement coordinates the Student Organization channel of the Campus Life tab of RamPort as well as the Campus Events, Greek Life and UCPC channels. In addition to finding timely information there, students and student groups can submit information to the Associate Dean for Student Involvement for possible inclusion in these spaces. Training is also available on how to use the RamPort group function to manage your organization or group.
Homecoming
The annual Homecoming Week is coordinated by a volunteer student committee facilitated by a CSI staffer. The week-long list of activities typically includes nominee presentation, homecoming king and queen elections, brisket cook-off, washer tournament, trivia contest, pep rally, step contest, run-through sign contest, bonfire and parade.
