Respondus

Respondus Logo

Respondus is a powerful tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Blackboard. Exams can be created offline using a familiar Windows environment (e.g. Microsoft Word) and put directly into Respondus. It is much easier to create a detailed exam in Respondus and transfer it into Blackboard than it is to make an exam in Blackboard from scratch.

LDB

Respondus LockDown Browser prevents a user from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during a Blackboard assessment. If an online exam or assessment requires that Respondus LockDown Browser be used, the exam won’t be accessible with a standard web browser.

studymate

StudyMate lets you create ten different Flash-based activities and games using three simple templates. The Flash activities can be used with any web server or published directly to a Blackboard course. StudyMate will import items from MS Word files and publisher test banks, making it easy to create interactive activities from existing content.

Some examples of the kind of study help questions that can be created include:

Fact Cards
Fact Cards Plus
Flash Cards
Pick a Letter
Fill in the Blank
Matching
Quiz
Crosswords
Challenge
Glossary

Best of all, you don't have to know Flash programming or HTML to use StudyMate.
