A number of computer programs are available through e-Learning to help you create engaging and effective course material. If the university has a site license for the program, you may install it on your computer free of charge. Other programs may be purchased through contracted vendors, often at a substantial discount from list prices.
 
These are some of the programs we have available for your use in e-Learning:

  • Audacity: This free open source software is used for recording and editing sounds.
  • Captivate: This program automatically records all onscreen actions and instantly creates an interactive Flash simulation.
  • Movie Maker: This software allows users to build their own movies and use a few basic editing techniques. The movies can be shared via the Web, e-mail or CD.
  • TurnItIn: This is an anti-plagiarism service available online. Submit students’ papers and they receive a score based on their originality.
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9: This software allows you to create forms, PDF portfolios and collaborations using notes.
