Financial Aid

ASU's Blue and Gold Guarantee Program

Beginning with the fall 2009 semester, Angelo State University (ASU) will implement the Blue and Gold Guarantee Program. The program will cover all tuition and mandatory fees over eight long semesters (summer terms not included). To maintain the financial support over the course of eight consecutive long semesters, individuals accepted into the program must meet and maintain published financial aid criteria and show satisfactory academic progress as an undergraduate student. Eligibility requirements are as follows:

The Blue and Gold Guarantee Program will cover the remaining balance of any tuition and mandatory fees that are not covered by other grants, scholarships (all sources), exemption and/or waiver programs received by the applicant.

The program does not cover room, board, books, supplies, or miscellaneous charges including parking fees, installment plan fees, post office box rental fees, late installment fees, reinstatement fees, late registration fees, etc.

There is no age limit for participation provided the applicant is considered a first-time freshman when entering the program.  Eligible recipients must reapply each year and meet all requirements above to determine continued eligibility for the program.  If a recipient of the program fails to meet the published eligibility criteria, continued eligibility for the program will be terminated.
