Game Travel for Student-Athletes

One of the most significant expenses for Angelo State athletics is transporting student-athletes and coaches to and from their respective competition sites. ASU does not own a bus or other mode of transportation that can be used for competition travel. As such, ASU secures outside services, typically for buses, which can cost the Athletics Department thousands of dollars annually.

In some instances, parents of student-athletes have been forced to carpool the team to an airport because chartered buses have broken down on the highway. This inconvenience not only is a disturbance to ASU supporters, but can also affect the athletic performance of ASU’s teams.

ASU is seeking a charitable gift to alleviate travel costs and/or provide transportation to accommodate at least 35-45 student-athletes and coaches.
