The Blue and Gold Auction is the premier fundraiser for the Ram Club, which benefits student-athletes and athletic programs at Angelo State University. 

Thank you for your continued support as a member of the extended Ram Family! We look forward to seeing you in the stands during the 2016-17 athletic season and we challenge you to “Raise Your Voice!” wherever Rams and Rambelles are competing.

  • Fly AirMed1 – The Only Way to Deliver a Game Ball, Item #130

    Pull on a headset and strap in for a ride with the friendly crew of Shannon Medical Center’s AirMed1 helicopter. Take off from the helipad at the hospital and discover an exhilarating view of San Angelo.   • Whitetail Management Buck Hunt, Item #136

    Mayer Ranch

    This is a two-day whitetail management buck hunt on the Mayer Ranch near Barnhart. Includes three-night stay on the ranch’s newly constructed lodge, hosted by John and Richard Mayer. This hunt is for a management buck, with the option of upgrading to a trophy buck for an additional fee. The hunt is all-inclusive with meals and personal guide, John Mayer.     President Brian J. and Patti May invite you for dinner at the beautiful Tippett House, the official home of Angelo State University presidents and their families since 1971. Victor P. and Ergeal Tippett deeded their home to ASU in 1970, indicating the home was given “in admiration for the educational standards” of ASU. The idea for the gift came about during the Tippetts’ long friendship with former President and Mrs. R.M. Cavness. Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd D. Vincent were the first ASU president’s family to occupy the home.

  • ASU Custom-Made Barbecue Pit, Item #183

    This monster of a barbecue pit is seven feet long with four pullout trays. Thermometers on the doors allow you to watch your cooking temperature without opening. The upright smoker is four feet tall with five permanent trays and a thermometer on the door. The fire pit is in the center back of the barrel with a permanent natural gas insert to aid in starting a fire. Features include two natural gas burner tops, gas cylinder storage and firewood storage. The unit weighs approximately 2,400 pounds and has tandem axles and lights. Trailer pit can be customized to purchaser’s specifications. Pit barrel and smoker, firebox and wood storage stay as is, but artwork can be customized. Perfect for tailgating at Ram Jams!

  • “Telling of the Legends” by Howard Terpning, Item #190

    Numbered Print

    Artist Howard Terpning depicts a holy man instructing a younger man on the legends of the Blackfeet people. Terpning captures “the mood of a sacred time, as a young man learns of this past and his future responsibilities” as dawn breaks on Chief Mountain in Montana. One of 1,250 signed and numbered prints. Howard Terpning is often referred to as one of the highest paid western artists in America.

  • Double J Ranch Quail Hunt with Dr. Dale Rollins, Item #223

    Two lucky hunters will spend the day on the Double J Ranch in Runnels County on a fantastic hunt for bobwhite quail. Your guide will be Dr. Dale Rollins (“Dr. Quail”) and his “Better” bird dogs. Dr. Rollins has written about the Double J Ranch as an “outlier” in that it had bountiful quail when most areas did not. Last year’s hunts counted 25 to 35 coveys per day and the upcoming season looks to be a great one at this point. Jody and Steve Mayer will show you land stewardship and western hospitality at its finest. Dates to be arranged in late January or February 2017. Hunters must provide their own shotguns and ammunition and have a valid Texas hunting license.
