If you want to make an impact on the lives of current and future ASU students, please get involved through gifts of time and money within these five organizations:
The ASU Foundation was formed exclusively for the benefit of ASU. The foundation supports and promotes all ASU colleges, schools and programs. It is a public, non-profit organization established to provide financial assistance to ASU primarily from gifts and earnings on endowed funds. The ASU Foundation is governed by a board of directors who meet quarterly to review the direction and performance of the foundation.

ASU President’s Circle
Originally founded in 1967 as the Honorary Alumni Association of Angelo State College, the group was renamed the ASU President’s Circle with the 1969 name change to Angelo State University but retained the same goals and objectives.
The President’s Circle membership includes community leaders and alumni who contribute $1,000 or more annually to provide the university the discretionary funds critical to reacting immediately to challenges and opportunities that will have an immediate impact on our students and faculty.
For example, over the past year, President’s Circle members have facilitated the following initiatives:
- Provided support of travel for the Physics on the Road team
- Completion of the Mayer-Rousselot Agriculture Education Training Center
- Supported student initiatives in the Freshman College
As a member of President’s Circle, you are our advocate, ambassador, and investor in our university’s future. While ASU continues to show progress, it is, as you know, still a difficult time for universities across the nation. As such, we use our President’s Circle as a means to raise funds for responding to opportunities.
Most importantly, your donation will help us build on the successes we have generated over the past five decades. Your contribution is important to the success of the university. Every donor matters. Every gift counts.
Ways to Give
Your $1,000 unrestricted gift can be made to support the university’s greatest need for the Academic Year (Sept. 1, 2014–Aug. 31, 2015). This gift transaction can be made in the following ways:

- A pledge of $1,000 initiated with an automatic credit card withdrawal on a monthly or quarterly schedule
- You may make your gift online and choose the online giving link
- A matching gift from your employer may be added to your gift total to qualify for the President’s Circle membership
Angelo State University has an estimated economic impact of $238 million annually on the city of San Angelo and Tom Green County. Every person is a part of the success of these students, proving that we are all in. And together we will open the doors of opportunity.

Founded in 2005, the Oaks Society honors and recognizes people who have chosen to benefit the university through charitable gift plans.
Members of the Oaks Society share a strong common bond that nourishes ASU’s extraordinary achievements and ensures the university’s continued excellence in the future. Their commitments of today will benefit the university’s students, faculty and programs for many generations to come. ASU recognizes the significant role these planned-giving donors play and is pleased to pay special tribute to their philanthropic leadership and vision.
The Oaks Society represents service and generosity and has special meaning at ASU. In 1949, oak trees were planted in front what is now the Mayer Administration Building in memory and honor of each of the 30 former students who lost their lives in World War II. In their own ways, Oaks Society members have opportunities to leave their own legacies at ASU.
