Since surpassing the $35 million goal in its momentous first capital campaign, Angelo State University has continued on a record-breaking pace with supporters contributing more than $12 million during the 2013-14 fiscal year.
“We are having our best fundraising year ever,” said Jamie Akin, ASU executive director of development and alumni relations.
This past May, Akin announced the single largest donation in ASU history, $4.5 million from an anonymous donor to fund construction of a facility for a proposed civil engineering degree program.Read more on this story.
Dr. Wrennah Gabbert, chair of Angelo State University’s Department of Nursing and director of the nursing program, has been named the James A. “Buddy” Davidson Chair in Nursing Excellence in ASU’s College of Health and Human Services.
Rebecca Schkade, Dr. Christine Purkiss and Dr. Maurice Fortin have been named the winners of the 2013-14 Gary and Pat Rodgers Distinguished Awards honoring outstanding staff, faculty and administrators at Angelo State University.
