    Description: Premier bibliographic database from the U.S. National Library of Medicine®, covering biomedicine and life sciences topics vital to biomedical practitioners, educators, and researchers, such as bioengineering, public health, clinical care, and plant and animal science. nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, marine biology, and preclinical sciences.

    Provides global coverage, indexing content from over 4,900 journals in 30 languages, plus a select number of relevant items from newspapers, magazines, and newsletters. Over 500,000 records are added annually. Retrospective coverage dates back to 1950.

    Description: Provides full text for more than 140 popular, middle school magazines. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. This database also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and a School Image Collection of photos, maps and flags.

    Description: Contains all information available on the journals and series on the bibliography’s Master List of Periodicals. Over 5,500 titles are included; of these, over 4,400 are currently indexed.

    he entries list editorial addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, e-mail addresses, frequency of publication, descriptions of the periodicals’ scopes, circulation figures, subscription prices and addresses, advertising information, and submission guidelines. The directory also provides statistics on how many articles and book reviews the periodicals publish each year, as well as how many are submitted.

    Description: Produced by the Modern Language Association (MLA), the electronic version of the bibliography dates back to the 1920’s and contains over 2.3 million citations from more than 4,400 journals & series, and 1,000 book publishers. This database includes journal abbreviations and acronyms for almost 3,500 titles, with full journal names standardized and ISSNs attached.

    It also contains nearly 11,000 subject names and terms. Subjects consist of literature, language and linguistics, folklore, literary theory & criticism, dramatic arts, as well as the historical aspects of printing and publishing. Listings on rhetoric and composition and the history, theory and practice of teaching language and literature are also included.
