    Description: Collection of more than 1200 streaming video clips and full programs. The database includes 37 of Shakespeare’s plays produced by BBC as well as additional films in history, social sciences, literature, fine arts, and the sciences.

    Every video includes synchronized captions. Closed Captions are searchable. Watch videos on any computer and on any Internet-connected mobile device. No downloads are required. Videos can be watched by multiple users at the same time.

    • Economic Census - profiles the U.S. economy every 5 years, from the national to the local level and by detailed industry and business classification
    • Survey of Business Owners - presents statistics every 5 years at the national to local area level by industry and by gender, ethnicity, race, and veteran status of the business owner
    • Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Tabulation - publishes estimates from the American Community Survey of the race, ethnicity, and sex composition of the workforce by occupation and geography.

    Description: This database includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, as well as European dissertations back from the 17th century, to those accepted as recently as last semester. PQDT is the official dissertations repository for the Library of Congress and the publishing partner of the National Library of Canada.

    PQDT allows students, faculty, and other researchers to search for high-quality, peer-reviewed and multidisciplinary research materials related to their scholarly interests. Graduate students can consult the database to make sure their proposed thesis or dissertation topics have not already been written about.

    Description: Produced by the American Economic Association, this database provides citations and abstracts of articles in all fields of economics, including capital markets, country studies, econometrics, economic forecasting, environmental economics, government regulations, labor economics, monetary theory, urban economics and much more.

    Description: Searchable online collection of non-current issues (‘backfile’) of selected core scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals in a broad range of disciplines.

    The time lag between the most current issues of a journal title and the content available in JSTOR is called “moving wall.” It varies from publisher to publisher. The majority of journals in JSTOR have moving walls of between 3 and 5 years, but publishers may elect walls anywhere from zero to 10 years.

  • National Criminal Justice Reference Service image

    Description: Established in 1972, NCJRS is a federally funded resource offering justice and drug-related information to support research, policy, and program development worldwide. NCJRS is sponsored by a partnership of Federal agencies from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Executive Office of the President.

    This resource inlcudes one of the largest criminal and juvenile justice libraries and databases in the world, the NCJRS Abstracts Database. The collection, with holdings from the early 1970s to the present, contains more than 210,000 publications, reports, articles, and audiovisual products from the United States and around the world. These resources include statistics, research findings, program descriptions, congressional hearing transcripts, and training materials. The abstracts include the title, author, sponsoring agency, purchasing address, and journal citation, as well as a 100- to 200-word summary of the document’s contents.

    Description: Bibliographic database covering the Published International Literature On Traumatic Stress. Produced by the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, it is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
