    Description: AgEcon Search: Research in Agricultural and Applied Economics collects, indexes, and electronically distributes full text copies of scholarly research in the broadly defined field of agricultural economics including sub disciplines such as agribusiness, food supply, natural resource economics, environmental economics, policy issues, agricultural trade, and economic development.

    Description: This database includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, as well as European dissertations back from the 17th century, to those accepted as recently as last semester. PQDT is the official dissertations repository for the Library of Congress and the publishing partner of the National Library of Canada.

    PQDT allows students, faculty, and other researchers to search for high-quality, peer-reviewed and multidisciplinary research materials related to their scholarly interests. Graduate students can consult the database to make sure their proposed thesis or dissertation topics have not already been written about.

    Description: Started in 2004 as a data preservation and accessibility project of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the ‘Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research’ (FRASER) safeguards and provides easy access to the nation’s economic history—particularly the history of the Federal Reserve System—through digitization and preservation of documents related to the U.S. financial system.

    Description: provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, dissertations, book citations, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from a variety of content providers.     Description: Single largest compilation of Spanish-language newspapers printed in the U.S. during the 19th and 20th centuries, chronicling the daily life, cultural heritage and world views of Hispanic communities in the U.S..

    Reflecting a long tradition of Spanish-language press in the western hemisphere, these newspapers have played a vital role in the lives of immigrants, exiles and native Hispanic peoples alike.     Description: Searchable online collection of non-current issues (‘backfile’) of selected core scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals in a broad range of disciplines.

    The time lag between the most current issues of a journal title and the content available in JSTOR is called “moving wall.” It varies from publisher to publisher. The majority of journals in JSTOR have moving walls of between 3 and 5 years, but publishers may elect walls anywhere from zero to 10 years.

    Description: NTIS serves as the largest central resource for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related information available today. Its mission supports the Department of Commerce mission to promote the nation’s economic growth by providing access to information that stimulates innovation and discovery. Use the “National Technical Research Library” to search for federally funded bibliographic science and technology research information collected by NTIS.

    Description: Application created for the general public to provide broad access to the O*NET database of occupational information. The O*NET database includes information on skills, abilities, knowledges, work activities, and interests associated with occupations. This information can be used to facilitate career exploration, vocational counseling, and a variety of human resources functions, such as developing job orders and position descriptions and aligning training with current workplace needs. Information is available for over 900 occupations. Each occupational title and code is based on the 2010 version of the Standard Occupational Classification system.

    O*NET OnLine offers a variety of search options and occupational data, while My Next Move is a streamlined application for students and job seekers. Both applications were developed for the U.S. Department of Labor by the National Center for O*NET Development.
