Contains geographic names in Antarctica which are approved by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names for use by the Federal Government.

GEONet Names Server (Foreign geographic feature names)
Provides access to the National Imagery and Mapping Agency's (NIMA) database of foreign geographic feature names. The information in this database is based in part on copyrighted source material. Copyright restrictions continue to exist.

National Geographic MapMachine
Browse conservation maps and street-level maps, search US topographic maps and explore the world through "Country Profiles"  to create custom maps. "Country Profiles" include links to the CIA World Factbook entries and a printable outline map. View the dynamic map and an Atlas plate of each country. Maps can be customized.

Subway Navigator (Subway systems around the world)
This route finder is an online program that helps you find your journey via public transport in over 60 cities around the world, 10 of which are situated in the US. Enter departure and arrival stations from the provided lists and get a detailed description of your journey and best route to take, the estimated time of arrival, and a visualization of your route if an interactive graphic map is available. 

United Nations Cartographic Section. Maps and Geographic Information Resources
Provides access to more than 100 non-U.S. maps organized by region and country. Maps open as PDF files. Find peacekeeping maps and a select number of thematic maps. Updated all country maps as of February 2004.

A collection of world maps, from the Perry-Castañeda Library Map Collection, The University of Texas at Austin.

World Sites Atlas
This site includes a " Map Collection" with detailed maps (countries, states, and provinces) and general maps (world atlas and regional maps).

Xpeditions (National Geographic)
Click on "Atlas Maps." Contains black and white outline maps of the world, the continents, regions, and countries. Page-size maps designed for printing and copying.

Canada:
Critical Mass : a Biodiversity Atlas of the United States and Canada

View maps of major habitats and types of species, such as amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and butterflies. Control map views by political boundaries, total species, endemic species, and zooming in and out.

Great Britain:
Multimap.com

The United Kingdom's leading interactive mapping service on the web. Offers street level maps of Europe and detailed maps of the world. Includes travel directions, aerial photographs, and London Tube maps.

Vietnam:

From the Vietnam Veterans Home Page, "A Virtual Visit to Vietnam." The "Maps of Vietnam," which includes tactical maps, maps of various provinces, and maps produced to support reconnaissance files, is a test project and may be integrated into other sections of the site. [Mirror site]
