Database Services — Multiple Databases
	CSA’s Internet Database Service provides access to several databases covering major areas of research, including environmental sciences and pollution management, biological sciences, and sociology. The link to the left connect to the “Subject Menu” page in IDS.
	The Cochrane Library is a collection of seven separate databases. Five of these provide coverage of evidence-based medicine, and the other two provide information on research methodology. The databases are: The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR); The Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE); The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL); The Cochrane Database of Methodology Reviews (CDMR); The Cochrane Methodology Register (CMR); The Health Technology Assessment Database (HTA); and The NHS Economic Evaluation Database (NHS EED). The Cochrane Library is maintained by the Cochrane Collaboration, an international not-for-profit organisation, providing up-to-date information about the effects of health care.
	EBSCOhost is a powerful online reference system that offers access to a variety of proprietary full text databases and popular databases from leading information providers. The databases in EBSCOhost range from general reference collections to specially designed, subject-specific databases that can be searched simultaneously or individually as needed.
	The Library of Texas is a service offered by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission that allows users to discover and retrieve desired information from multiple library catalogs, databases, and other knowledge collections. Texans no longer need to use a separate interface for each individual library or database. At present, the Library of Texas searches through the catalogs of 76 public libraries, 52 academic libraries, 4 unique libraries, and 17 TexShare commercial databases.
	Databases marked “Gov” are made available by U.S. federal agencies or other governmental institutions. The link to the left connects to the Government Documents department’s “Databases” web page, which includes links to many more government-sponsored databases.
Database Services — Single Databases
	AGU makes the results of the scientific study of the Earth and its environment in space available to the public, and advances the Earth and space sciences by publishing journals covering fundamental research in various disciplines, numerous books, Eos, a weekly newspaper, and occasional other scientific publications.  All AGU journals and some books are distributed electronically via the Internet; most also have a print component.  The AGU Digital Library is a comprehensive collection of more than 100 years of Earth and space science research. The library contains more than 90,300 articles from journals and books and will eventually include an additional ~25,000 articles from books and the weekly newspaper for AGU by the end of 2008.
	The official journal of the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR), which publishes original research on a broad range of topics in the field of reproductive biology. This database searches several journals, but the ONLY title available in full text format is the Biology of Reproduction.
	Community of Science Funding Opportunities lists available opportunities for grants, fellowships, prizes and other type of funding. The database contains information for recipients anywhere in the world, working in any discipline, with sponsors coming from the public and private sector, including local, state and national governments, foundations and societies, and corporations. The database is updated daily and includes more than 24,000 records representing over $33 billion in funding. Each COS record includes an abstract and information on deadlines, amount of award, any eligibility criteria, and contact information for more information from the sponsoring organization.
	Collection of over 40,000 articles from over 100 of the most prestigious management journals, complete with full text archives back to 1994 and abstracts back to 1989. This database covers all major management disciplines from marketing, human resources management, library and information management and quality to operations management and more, plus a substantial number of engineering, applied science and technology titles.
	Includes archives of over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. The entire corpus is full-text searchable, offers search term highlighting, includes high-quality images, and is interlinked by millions of citations and references. The most recently published issues (past 3-5 years) are not available. However, users can search this material and link to the publisher’s site or other online source for access.
	Electronic publication offering access to a database of reviews, abstracts and bibliographic information for much of the mathematical sciences literature. Over 80,000 new items are added each year, most of them classified according to the Mathematics Subject Classification. MathSciNet contains over 2 million items and over 700,000 direct links to original articles. Bibliographic data from retrodigitized articles dates back to 1864. Reference lists are collected and matched internally from over 300 journals, and citation data for journals, authors, articles and reviews is provided. This web of citations allows users to track the history and influence of research publications in the mathematical sciences.
	Dallas Morning News Historical Archive - a unique historical digital image collection accessible by keyword and date searching. It documents major events in Texas, the United States, and the world, providing valuable primary source information. Classified and display advertising, photos and graphics are also included.
	The online version of this exceptional resource makes available full text searching of the information contained in the print set of volumes, as well as additional, newly added entries not included in the print set
	The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) publishes research reports (describing the results of original research of exceptional importance), commentaries (which call attention to papers of particular note and are written at the invitation of the Editorial Board), perspectives (presenting a viewpoint on an important area of research and are written at the invitation of the Editorial Board), and colloquium papers (reports of scientific colloquia held under Academy auspices) on a broad array of scientific topics.

	Searchable digital archive offering full-text and full-image access to the complete backfiles of The New York Times (1851-2002), The Wall Street Journal (1889-1988), The Washington Post (1877-1989), the Christian Science Monitor (1908-1992), and theLos Angeles Times (1881-1985).
	The Physical Review Online Archive (PROLA) is the American Physical Society’s online archive for Physical Review Letters, Reviews of Modern Physics, and Physical Review A–E. It contains all APS journal articles published from 1893–2004. Each January, another year is added to the archive.
	SAGE Journals Online is comprehensive collection of subject databases including more than 256 journals, over 360,000 full-text articles, book reviews, and editorials, and more, all with the original graphics, tables, and page numbers. The collection is comprised of the most popular peer-reviewed journals in Communication Studies, Criminology, Education, Health Sciences, Management & Organizational Studies, Materials Science, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Urban Studies & Planning published by SAGE Publications and participating societies.
	Science Direct provides access to more than 1000 scientific, medical and technical journals published by the world’s leading scientific publishers, many in full text.
