Biology Library Tutorial

Fulltext Periodicals Tool

The Fulltext Periodicals tool is a fulltext journal locator service which is maintained by the company Serials Solutions. It is the third channel in the top row of the Library tab, which is displayed below. Remember, in order to access the Online Resources databases from off campus using the Fulltext Periodicals tool, you need to have an ASU email account and to follow the directions on the Using this Tutorial page.

To find the article Evaluation of methods for storing small quantities of experimental silage in a fulltext format, which was originally on pages 141-147 of the August 2004, Volume 54, Issue 1/2 of the Small Ruminant Research,  you would type the name of the source (not the article) into the Search for a Journal by Title box. If results appeared, the Library has that periodical available in a fulltext format in one of its resources.  However, you would still need to see if the correct date is available.  If it is, you would be able to click on that database, and locate the article by finding the appropriate issue date, or even by searching for the article in the database.
