Database Description
Gale Literary Databases (Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism - Select, and Dictionary of Literary Biography) Contemporary Authors provides complete biographical and bibliographical information on more than 120,000 U.S. and international authors.
Contemporary Literary Criticism—Select collects more than 11,000 critical essays on contemporary authors, with biographical, critical, principal works, and further study information.
Dictionary of Literary Biography provides nearly 10,000 biographical and critical essays on the lives, works, and careers of influential literary figures from all eras and genres.
Gale Virtual Reference Library A database of specialized encyclopedias and other reference sources for multidisciplinary research.
GAO Reports Contains all publicly released reports (“blue books”), testimonies, correspondence, and special publications on audits, surveys, investigations, and evaluations of Federal programs conducted by the Government Accounting Office (GAO) from FY 1995 to the present, as well as approximately 85% of the publicly released reports for FY 1994 and 3% for FY 1993.

It covers the full range of products and technologies associated with computer hardware, software, communications products, financial services, electronic business, and healthcare application software worldwide.
The Information Technology department at Angelo State University has purchased a campus-wide subscription to Gartner Research. This resource can be accessed on- and off-campus by authorized users with a valid RamPort account.
GeoRef Established by the American Geological Institute (AGI) in 1966, this database contains over 2.2 million references to geoscience journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports and theses. The GeoRef database covers the geology of North America from 1785 to the present and the geology of the rest of the world from 1933 to the present. The database includes references to all publications of the U.S. Geological Survey. Masters’ theses and doctoral dissertations from US and Canadian universities are also covered.
