Database Description
National Criminal Justice Reference Service The National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS), created in 1972, is a federally funded resource offering justice and substance abuse information to further support research, policy, and program development worldwide. NCJRS is sponsored by a partnership of Federal agencies from the Department of Justice. Online publications on the NCJRS Web site come in three formats: HTML, Text, and PDF.

NationMaster A massive, yet easy to use, source of facts, statistics, charts, and maps on every country in the world, compiled from such sources as the CIA World Factbook, the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the World Bank, the World Resources Institute, UNESCO, UNICEF and OECD.
Natural and Alternative Treatments The database contains almost two hundred articles on medical conditions, presenting in an evidence-based manner the alternative medicine therapies proposed for use in their treatment. It also contains detailed, evidence-based information on herbs and supplents, functional foods, and other alternative therapies such as acupuncture and homeopathy. The evidence-based content has been developed and reviewed by a team of physicians and pharmacologists with the goal of providing consumers with reliable information.
Newslink Provides thousands of links to newspapers, magazines, broadcasters and news services worldwide, as well as links to journalism organizations, publishers and acadic resources, new-media newsletters, media reports and marketing research.
Newspaper Source Provides selected full text for nearly 30 national (U.S.) and international newspapers. The database also contains full text television & radio news transcripts, and selected full text for more than 200 regional (U.S.) newspapers. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.
