Multicultural Advisory Council (MAC)
The Multicultural Advisory Council is a diverse group of leaders that seeks to broaden traditional definitions of the term multicultural. The core of the council is comprised of student representatives from the cultural organizations on campus, as well as at large students representatives from ASU. We are looking for students who possess a passion for educating the campus community about a variety of multicultural topics and issues. Interested? Diversity Dialogue Workshops
The Multicultural Center and the Multicultural Advisory Council work with various student organizations to select programs, speakers, and facilitators to provide education to the students, faculty and staff of Angelo State University. Some of the topics include:
- Race Relations
- Identity Development
- Social Justice
- Multicultural Competence
The Multicultural Center offers opportunities to learn and embrace diversity at Angelo State. The center works collaboratively with student organizations as well as academic and administrative departments to provide opportunities to learn about differences, while also recognizing similarities.
