    In order to be eligible to drive university-owned, leased, loaned or rented vehicles, employees must be 21 years of age or older. Employees must be 18 years of age or older to drive a campus golf cart. Only faculty/staff can reserve rental/lease vehicles.

The Office of Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management is responsible for planning, implementing and administering the university's health and safety program, and for providing supportive technical consultation, training, investigation and inspection to ensure compliance with guidelines set forth by federal, state and local laws and regulations. Its primary functions are to assist the university community in meeting health and safety responsibilities, to prevent or reduce accidents and to identify and eliminate environmental hazards and dangerous conditions.
