Hazardous Waste Management

ASU is committed to providing a safe environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors. The Office of Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management’s Hazardous Waste Management Program initiatives are based on federal, state and local regulations to ensure the health and well-being of the campus community.

The Hazardous Waste Management Program involves numerous initiatives, including electronic waste disposal, universal waste disposal, transfer of hazardous waste to a bulk waste facility, oversight of hazardous waste disposal and generation, and creation of reports required by local, state and federal entities.

Our office stresses that improper handling of hazardous waste can have a drastic impact on not only the university, but also on the environment.

For more information and/or training opportunities involving hazardous waste management or safety, please contact the Office of Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management at (325) 942-2180.
