Village Cafe and Catering
Kenny BlanekKenny has been in the restaurant and catering business for over 30 years, as part owner of the Dunbar East restaurant and Crossroads at the Inn of the Conchos. Kenny wanted to expand his business and did not have enough room at the present location, so he decided to move into the Village. Kenny was going to need financial assistance and advice so he met with Advisor Paul Howard of the Angelo State University Small Business Development Center. Advisor Howard did research to find Kenny a sample business plan that would assist in developing his own plan. Kenny began working on his plan and met with his banker in the meantime. After some negotiating, the bank and Kenny came up with a mutually acceptable loan package that both are happy with. Kenny was pleased with the help and expertise of the SBDC as it assisted in the loan process. This new business has now opened and in the process it created four new jobs for the Concho Valley.
