Welcome to the International Trade Office

As a part of the SBDC, we are happy to assist small businesses in importing and exporting.

Advising:

  • Assessing company and product export/import readiness
  • Advising on global trade logistics and documentation
  • Locating new markets for your company!

Other ways we can help:

  • Through our connection with SBDC International Trade Center in San Antonio and the U.S. Department of Commerce – West Texas US Export Assistance Center that have extensive research data as well as years of expertise.
  • Through our educational efforts.
    • International Business Symposium
The purpose of the International Business Symposium is to inspire and inform those interested in the world market about the processes, successes and potential problems involved in international trade.
    • Basics of Exporting and Importing
This seminar is the first step for companies interested in importing and exporting. It introduces participants to key international trade issues and provides an overview of the essential elements necessary to successfully enter global markets.

Since its inception in 1995, the ASU International Trade Office has been providing export and import assistance to small businesses and individuals throughout the area serviced by the ASU Small Business Development Center. The office was established, in part, through the generous efforts of West Texas Utilities and the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce.
