Melissa Wisener-Farr

Melissa joined the SBDC staff in June 2000 as secretary. She attended Cisco Junior College in Cisco, Texas upon graduating from Sealy High School. Melissa was in the banking industry where she worked in various departments including mortgage loan processing. In addition to her administrative duties with the SBDC, Melissa assists with marketing and promotion of the SBDC to the small business community and other stakeholders, along with helping to maintain client relationships.
Melissa was recently awarded the South-West Texas Border Small Business Development Center Network Certificate of Appreciation. She also earned the title of Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) after completion of the professional development requirements. Melissa is a charter member of the Sunset Toastmasters™ Club and has served as Vice President of Membership. She earned her Competent Communicator (CC) designation in July 2007. She is also a graduate of the 24th Leadership San Angelo class, a leadership training course in areas strategic to the city's well-being.
