SBMCP Graduation Ceremony
Once participants in the SBMCP have completed all of their requirements, applied for review, and been approved, they will be invited to attend the next upcoming SBMCP graduation ceremony. Graduation ceremonies are private events held for graduates, their families, ASU-SBDC representatives, SBMCP sponsorship representatives, and special guests. At the event, graduates will be presented a plaque with their SBMCP certificate.
Graduation Ceremony March 2, 2011
On March 2nd, the ASU-SBDC held the 3rd Graduation Reception for the six participants who completed the program requirements. We were honored to have Dr. Corbett Gaulden, Dean of the ASU College of Business and Mr. John Dugan, Chamber of Commerce VP attend the reception, say a few words, and hand out the certificates. This year we were pleased to have Mr. Toro Vaun, owner of Angelo Donuts and the owner of the soon to be open café in the new library, speak to the group about his struggles and achievements being a small business owner.
We would like to thank the reception sponsors: Wells Fargo Bank, Texas Bank, First National Bank of Ballinger, Bank of San Angelo and Verizon Wireless. Your support provided the means to have a graduation reception and provide materials for the program participants.
When is graduation?
Graduation ceremonies are held on an as needed basis. Whenever approximately 12 members have completed all requirements a graduation ceremony will be held. Graduations are held approximately 2 times a year.
