FAQ’s
How do I register?
If you have decided that the SBMCP is right for you and would like to enroll, please fill out and turn in the registration form to the training coordinator, Jessica Lambert. You can contact her during regular office hours at (325) 942-2019 or by e-mail at jessica.lambert@angelo.edu. Payment must be made before you receive your notebook. You will need to schedule a time to meet and discuss the program.
When will I receive my notebook?
You will receive your notebook after registration form and payment have been received. The notebook can either be picked up during office hours or you may request to receive it when you attend your next seminar. Contact jessica.lambert@angelo.edu for more information.
I’ve already been to a few of the required seminars, will they still count?
Yes, any seminar you have attended in the past year will count towards the completion of your certification but all seminars must be completed in a one year span.
Why can’t I count seminars that I attended more than one year ago?
We don’t count seminars you’ve attended more than a year ago because we want to be sure that the knowledge you have gained is the most up to date information.
What if I don’t finish in one year?
Situations are dealt with on a case by case basis. If you have been an active participant you may get an extension to complete your requirements. If you are an inactive participant you may have to re-enroll and pay another enrollment fee. You may request a replacement notebook with re-enrollment.
How will I track my progress?
You are responsible for keeping track of and completing all of the requirements, which can be done on any enrollment form. However, if you would like to see a report of your seminar attendance e-mail jessica.lambert@angelo.edu.
When is graduation?
Graduation ceremonies are held on an as needed basis. Whenever approximately 12 members have completed all requirements a graduation ceremony will be held. Graduations are held approximately 2 times a year.
Learn More About our Graduation Ceremonies
I want to graduate soon but some seminars I need are not being offered this quarter. Are there any options for me?
Because some seminars are given only 3 or 4 times a year there are some alternate graduation options available. You must meet with the program coordinator to discuss completing an alternate graduation plan. Alternatives are primarily made up of additional online training modules or taking another set of seminars that will provide similar information.
I have more questions!
