Dana Calhoun of Grigsby's Boutique and Merle Norman Cosmetics
Inspiring Women to Be Their Best

At an early age of five years old, Dana’s parents knew retail was in her blood when she requested her very own cash register.  Dana and her twin sister, Tana, who was always the customer, would play “Store” for hours.

After high school, her passion for fashion continued leading her down several avenues before finally arriving at her own store, Grigsby’s Boutique and Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio; and yes, her very own cash register.

With the passion for growing her own business, she has earned two trips to Hawaii, numerous trips to Los Angeles, and will travel to China in 2011, courtesy of her hard work and Brighton.

Along with her fashion sense, she has developed awareness for the feelings of her customers who are the “secret sauce” of her business.  Dana created Catwalk for the Cure in 2006, a fundraiser she began to give back to the community.  Her mission is to empower all women to be the best they can be no matter what life has thrown their way.  Over the last four years, she along with her Grigsby girls and numerous volunteers has raised a total of $44,000 for the Cure.

Dana served as an ambassador for the American Heart Association in 2008, and later served as chairperson for their Go Red for Women event in 2009.  She also served on the board of the Better Business Bureau.

Dana is married to her high school sweetheart, Jason, and their mutual support has helped them raise two wonderful boys and succeed at very busy careers.
