Women's Event | First Time Attendees

If you’ve never attended the Women’s Business Roundtable Event before, you’re in for a real treat. Not only does this one evening include inspiring keynote speakers, delicious food including a sampling of delicious desserts from around the Concho Valley, vendors and exhibitor booths, and plenty of networking opportunities, but there are also Roundtable discussions that are sure to help you learn about whatever topic you’re currently facing with your business or company.

First time attendees may be surprised at the overwhelming amount of things going on but not to worry, your only job is to have fun. When you first arrive you will be asked to sign-in (don’t forget to register before the event!) and you will receive your door prize drawing ticket. Be sure to keep track of your ticket! Then you will be able to fill out a name tag, or you are welcome to bring your own.

From there the first part of the event will consist of you browsing and meeting with the many women at the Booths. Booths are located on the first floor where you will speak with representatives from the businesses to tables on the second floor for you to peruse. On the second floor is also where you will find the locations of the Roundtables that will be used for the discussions later in the evening. I suggest you scout out the table topic that is right for you and sign up once your decision has been made.

At approximately 6 p.m. the ballroom will open for dinner and you will make your plate and pick your seat. We encourage you to make conversation with the ladies you happen to share your table with. Once the event begins we will begin the door prize drawings and you will enjoy hearing from various speakers including the keynote speaker.

After dinner you will move to your first Roundtable discussion and then your second. You also have the option of returning to the vendor tables and spending your time meeting new women and learning about their businesses.

The final part of the evening is the Desserts & Discussion portion of the night. You will meet back in the ballroom for the final wrap-up ceremony. Sample desserts will be available for your snacking pleasure and the final and best door prizes will be drawn for. When the event is over we ask you to complete your event evaluation where you have the opportunity to provide feedback that is used to improve the event for the next year.

We hope you enjoy your participation in the Women’s Business Roundtable event. Our goal is to provide a forum for women to make new friends, learn from each other, and leave inspired about what they do and what they can do in the future. If at any time you feel overwhelmed or unsure of what to do next, please visit the information both located on the second floor. Above all, have fun!
